A freshman at West Virginia University got arrested for sliding down an icy street in a laundry cart and nailing a police cruiser. Spoilers: He was drunk.

Josh Beard was partying with friends after the winter storm, which is a tradition at WVU whenever the town gets covered in fresh snow. And what better winter activity is there besides turning a laundry cart into a sled? But there was one big problem. You can control a sled, but not so much with a laundry cart.

West Virginia University Student Slides Into Cop Car and Gets ArrestedJosh is launched out of the laundry cart as it strikes the police cruiser, and that’s all the officers needed to see. Josh makes a run for it but he’s no match for the police.

He’s been charged with disorderly conduct, underage drinking, destruction of property, fleeing from an officer and playing in the streets. Playing in the streets, seriously?

Cops say they found 2 cans of Busch Light in Josh’s possession. Wild guess — there were more cans emptied earlier in the evening.
