A viral TikTok video shows a woman distraught over her Pomeranian’s death during a United Airlines flight. @pomsky.paws posted the video of her sobbing on the passenger walkway, with the caption: “He was healthy and alive before the flight. It was so cold in the plane. They didn’t give us blankets or make it warmer.”

The TikToker cites the 2018 Washington Post article that reports United accounts for 75 percent of pet deaths on U.S. commercial air carriers in the last year.

One commenter said, “No way a 7-month-old POMSKY died because a plane was chilly. Something else happened.”

Karen's Pomeranian dog dies on United Airlines flight, has public freakout@pomsky.paws replied, walking back on her claim that United is to blame, “He was a 2lb Pomeranian, not pomsky. I don’t know why he died, it was just my automatic speculation. Could of been a heart attack.”

Meanwhile one user speculated that the “Dog died from back to back flights with no breaks for food or water and distress. From Thailand to Mexico to LA to Chicago.”
